If you were anywhere near the Peacock theater last weekend, chances are you saw them—lines of fans (aka Blooms) decked out in bright colors, sparkles, flower light sticks and handmade signs. From children, teenagers, and adults (young & old), they were all waiting to see the rising P-pop girl group BINI. Their LA stop on the Biniverse tour wasn’t just a concert, it was a love letter to fans, a display of pop prowess, and a global coming-out party for the Philippines’ pride.
Taking you through the experience, let’s talk about those lines first. The crowd started gathering hours before doors even opened. And the merch lines? They were a whole experience on their own. From light sticks to exclusive tees, fans were determined to grab whatever piece of BINI they could. It was so fun watching everyone interact and bond over their bias, discussing who they were excited to see most.
Then, before BINI even hit the stage, opener Jaime Ave from Oxnard had the crowd grooving. His smooth R&B set featured effortless vocals and some slick dance moves—think Bruno Mars with a SoCal edge. He gave major heartthrob energy while also playing the ultimate hype man, building anticipation for the queens we were all there to see.
And then—BINI.
From the moment the lights dimmed and the first beat dropped, the arena exploded. The energy was unreal. BINI doesn’t just perform, they connect. Whether it was their sharp choreography, mic-perfect vocals, or the way they waved to every corner of the venue, these eight girls had us locked in. Their crowd work was flawless. They saw us. They made us feel like part of the Biniverse, not just spectators.
Sonically, BINI has found their own lane. Their sound is like if One Voice, TLC, and Red Velvet had a baby and raised her on OPM and girl power. It’s 90s harmonies with futuristic pop hooks and a P-pop twist that makes you want to dance and cry happy tears. It’s nostalgic but totally new; and it works.
One of the most touching moments of the night was when the girls took the time to walk around the entire arena to say hi to fans. It wasn’t rushed or forced. It felt genuine. You could tell how much they love their Blooms, and the feeling is clearly mutual.
To top it all off, a surprise guest singer joined the group for a dreamy duet that had the whole room swaying. Screams were heard as eaJ from K-pop band DAY6 blessed the stage. Later, some lucky fans even scored a meet and greet post-show. The smiles, the selfies, the overwhelmed sobbing—all of it was peak fan-girl energy and the vibes did not disappoint.
BINI did more than put on a show in LA, they planted their flag. And if this is what the future of global P-pop looks like, I’m all in. Next stop, Coachella 2026?
