AETHER Apparel, a complete lifestyle collection for urban- dwelling, design-focused, well-traveled men and women, has partnered with the James Brand, a premium designer of everyday carry knives and tools, to release an everyday carry (EDC) kit for travel, adventure and daily use. Launching today, the James° + AETHER EDC Kit features a limited-edition knife and pen, both with a diamond-patterned easy-use grip, a branded Moleskine notebook, and a weatherproof case.
The relationship between the two brands formed when AETHER began offering James Brand knives and tools at its stores and online, which grew into a mutual respect and a desire to create a kit built from both brands’ unique passions for quality, functionality and style.

“When we first launched The James Brand we knew that we wanted to work with AETHER. The James° + AETHER EDC Kit celebrates minimalist design with a knife pared back to feature only the necessary tools: a 2.5-inch blade with a lockback design for safety, a Phillips-head screwdriver, a bottle opener, and the James Brand’s all-things scraper and pry. The kit’s weatherproof case comes in dark charcoal heather and has the James° + AETHER collaboration logo and water-resistant zippers. Inside, ultra-durable TPU Hypalon straps secure the knife and pen in place and an elastic daisy chain organizes small gadgets and cords. An internal zippered pocket provides a place to stash cash or small necessities, and the notebook pocket doubles as a passport holder. Three credit-card slots make this an ideal piece for travel and everyday use.
