This year, Kicks to the Pitch teamed up with adidas Soccer to present COPA BASEL: THE FACE-OFF, celebrating all things Copa past and present, with a preview of the newest Copa product from adidas Soccer plus a weekend full of art, customization and charity.
COPA BASEL, with additional support by EA Sports and Jason Markk, kicked off an invitation-only event this past Saturday, December 3, 2016 at The Tango Space. The event featured music by Just Blaze and Safe Stadick, drinks provided by Heineken and a two-team soccer face-off captained by footwear artisans Shoe Surgeon leading SRGN FC and Jester leading Red Ribbon Recon FC. Both artisans created custom soccer boots with adidas’ most popular silhouettes for their teams consisting of music producer Just Blaze, former NFL star wide receiver Chad “OchoCinco” Johnson, creative artists Naturel and amuse126, sneaker designer John Geiger, fitness model Tamra Dae, photographer Shayna Batya and more.
